One week old!

Alexis: I am one week old! I like spending all this time with Mom, Dad, and River. River likes to stiff me. I think he is a little jealous.

I don't like waiting for diaper changes, waiting for feedings, taking baths, or changing outfits. I make all kinds of noises all the time, and I like to wiggle.

Kasey: Alexis spent the first two days of her life in the NICU. The pediatrician was worried she might have an infection so she got 48 hours of antibiotics and that had to be in the NICU. She was a giant in the the land of tiny babies, and the nurses had a number of names for her; fussy girl, crank pot, baby dinosaur. Yeah, she was a screamer, but I would be too if I had that many things attached to me. We did get to visit as much as we wanted, and there turned out to be no infection. What a trooper.
