Alexis does love her Grandma & Grandpa

Saturday Drive

Last Saturday we were dog sitting for Matt and Dawn, but Eric still wanted to get out of the house. So we loaded up the car with 3 dogs, one car seat + baby, one mom, one dad, and one diaper bag + fishing gear.

We set out for Pishkun Reservoir. The water was really low and Eric had pretty good luck fishing. The puppies ran wild and Jasper, Alexis, and I hung out in the car and enjoyed the view. It was actually pretty fun.

Photo Shoot

Becca and I conducted a photo shoot with Alexis in hopes of getting the perfect picture to put on the announcements we were ordering. After feeding and changing her she finally woke up. We got a lot of cute pictures and some pretty funny ones as well. The shoot ended when we discovered Alexis had filled her diaper and was leaking on the blanket she was laying on. Luckily the last picture we took was just the one we needed.

The Name Game

Eric and I had a boy named picked out from before we were married. I never dreamed that we would have a girl, so when we found out that we were "having a little princess," the search for a girl name began. We looked on-line and in books. We made lists and discovered new things about each others taste. It was a process, and we walked into the hospital with out having picked a name yet. When she finally arrived, and we got to meet her, we decided on Alexis Ellouise Ward.

Alexis - Her first name came from Eric's list. I like it because it has a lot of great nick names. We both think it is a good strong name.

Ellouise - Her middle name is a family name. It is the middle name of both my mother and grandmother.
